SXSW Redux

After leaving SXSW a day early, I flew to Raleigh, North Carolina (on Southwest, of course) to celebrate my mother-in-law's 50th birthday. After 48 hours, Rachel and I flew back to Austin, as fate would have it, through Nashville.

Alien's put this ATM here, I know it.

After leaving SXSW a day early, I flew to Raleigh, North Carolina (on Southwest, of course) to celebrate my mother-in-law's 50th birthday (Happy Birthday, Mom!). After 48 hours, Rachel and I flew back to Austin, as fate would have it, through Nashville.

What amazing foresight we had to schedule a flight from Nashville to Austin on the opening day of the SXSW Music Festival. I felt lost in the crowd without my guitar. Or nose ring.

So back to Dallas we have come, and I am filled with many fond memories from this last weekend. They are starting to emerge again in my brain now that I have emptied my desk of lingering email from the time gone.

Dave took home most of the enchiladas at the Web Awards, and Simon avoided being eaten by the ATM pictured above. The pizza was good and the panelists were simply marvelous.

What a pleasure it was to meet new friends, and see new faces. Hopefully, I'll have the pleasure of running into many of you again next year.

And back at the lab, we're busy as ever... with our pending move on its way soon.
