Beneath the Fog

Even though I was up at 6:30 this morning, I missed the sunrise with extremely low fog cutting visibility to about a hundred yards. I was lucky I could find my way to Starbucks.

I'm putting the finishing touches on some icons this morning for a great new product to be available later this year for both Mac and Windows. I'll share more when the non-disclosure gag is removed... but it's really cool. After that, we're currently working on a massive "Teaching English as a Second Languange" (TESL) curriculum for a client in Taiwan.

Beyond the client work, I'm just really thrilled with the response the new site has received again. There are definitely some features to be added in the weeks to come, namely a style-sheet switcher (ala Paul Sowden) to enlarge the text when necessary as well as the ability to post entry comments.

I'm also contemplating adding one of those nice text-ad banners to a non-descript location on the site (you know the ones I'm talking about). I'd try to convince you that the funds would go to offset Yellowlane's hosting cost (a chunk), but most-likely it will be spent on coffee and my beautiful wife's occasional shopping spree. It all comes from the same pocket anyhow.

As much as I've been loath to commercialize Yellowlane, this could be a good thing. If there are any of you out there who are seriously opposed to me running advertising of any kind, just let me know. I'm more than happy to hear constructive thoughts on the subject. Otherwise, we'll take the clickin' and keep on tickin'.

Update: I've added back in the MT comment functionality to the site. Sadly, the comment form is still using the generic UGLY style-sheet, which I will hopefully get fixed within a day or so. Until then, remember to be excellent to one another in your posting. Party on.
