Aside from his mad skillz, John Marstall also put us on to The IHT Online, website of the international newspaper International Herald Tribune. To date, I have not seen a better designed news website, and while it lacks some of the sports gossip we get from other sources, it has no lack for quality world news.
Clean features, good use of white space, and crisp typography only begin to scratch the surface of what separates IHT from other sites like MSNBC or FOX News.
Other slick features include the ability to add headlines to your "clippings" menu in realtime―which can then be saved and viewed at a later time without having to dig back through the site―and the ability to switch between three-column and one-column reading via a stylesheet switcher. In three-column view, all text appears within your browser window without scrolling, and simply clicking the last column "turns the page." All news sites should be this simple.
