Graphic Design USA published 15 Trends in Logo Design by LogoLounge.com founder, Bill Gardner sometime back in the spring. The article seems to be making the rounds again, and I felt brief mention here would be appropriate.
The article highlights some emerging trends in logo design as evidenced by recent additions to LogoLounge. It's definitely worth the read, and the examples and patterns cited are very interesting.
For reference, LogoLounge is a great site where designers can upload and catalog their own logos while browsing through a growing library of logo designs from other studios. With almost 10,000 logos currently in its database, LogoLounge has its fingers firmly on the pulse of identity design.
The website itself could use some work in terms of navigation, usability, and standards, but the content is excellent. Be sure to check out Logo Lounge in print as well. You may even find a couple of our logos hiding in its pages.
